The Kiwanis Club of Palm Springs Book Bank is an on-going community service project. Ev
ery Saturday, Kiwanis members visit garage sales throughout the valley to determine if children’s books are for sale.
When our members find available books, the sellers are asked to donate the books to the Kiwanis Book Bank. The Kiwanis Club then gives the books free of charge to preschool and kindergarten age children. Books which are not pre school age appropriate are donated to elementary school libraries. In either case, there are plenty of smiles all around.
